Situated in a truly idyllic location at the northern end of what was the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, Hafan enjoys a privileged position overlooking Poppit Sands, from the decking outside you will enjoy panoramic views of the bay to Cardigan Island and also the lower reaches of the Teifi Estuary. The beach at Poppit is unspoilt, undeveloped, with just a handful of chalets, café, car park and the Cardigan RNLI Station set in the sand dunes. Hafan is just 1 mile from the quaint village of St Dogmaels and 3 miles from the historic market town of Cardigan.
There are several good pubs/ restaurants nearby, the Teifi Waterside (previously the Webley) is just a short walk away. There is golf at Gwbert and Newport Pembs and other activities such as horse riding, carting, fishing, boating and theme parks. Whether you just want to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful scenery or need a base whilst walking the Welsh Coast Path, Hafan is the place for you.
For food close by there is the recently refurbished Webley Hotel, now The Teifi Waterside Hotel or in nearby St Dogmaels you could try the Ferry Inn.
With Hafan situated 100yds from the beach there is plenty of opportunity for various watersports and fishing alike.
Gwbert or Newport are the closest courses for a round of golf. If you fancy a spot of horse riding there is Crosswell's, Est. 25+ yrs and licensed riding centre.
For a step back in time you could try Castell Henllys, a unique Iron Age hill fort.
For dolphin, seal and sea bird watching boat trips try Bay to remember.
Or, if you're after a wild theme park experience, Oakwood is for you, if you have younger children and you think that's too much you could try a more relaxed visit to Folly Farm.
Included in the rental for your convience are WIFI, bed linen, towels (except beach towels), electric and logs (feel free to collect more wood from the beach though). Heating in winter is provided by electric night storage heaters. Also available on request is a travel cot and a stair gate. Hafan is dog friendly providing the dog(s) is restricted to the kitchen/dining area.
Outside, Hafan affords ample parking for 2 cars and a recently upgraded patio dining area in the lower part of the garden.

Hafan’s ground floor consists of a large dining area and fully fitted kitchen with doors opening to the decking to enjoy the panoramic views of the beautiful Poppit sands and Cardigan bay. The kitchen facilities include a double oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, etc. Leading from the Kitchen/dining area there are 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and bathroom with full sized bath and electric shower over.
Large 1st floor lounge with plenty of seating where you can enjoy the TV, DVD, Xbox360 or sound system. There is a selection of books, games and DVDs for your use.
There is also a log burner for those winter nights with a small supply of logs included but feel free to bring more or collect wood off the beach.
Hafan provides 3 bedrooms for guests to use which are located to the rear and on the ground floor of the property where you will also find the full size bathroom with electric shower. Bed linen and towels (except beach towels) are provided, and WiFi is available throughout the property.
Hafan is dog friendly but we do ask that guests restrict the animals to the kitchen/dining area when indoors.
Bedroom 1 accomodates a double bed, sea view and storage. What else could you ask for than to wake up to a view of the sea and Cardigan Island that will make you feel energised for the day to come?
Bedroom 2 accomodates a double bed, river view and storage space. From here you can check the tide from the view across the lower reaches of the Teifi estuary.
Bedroom 3 is ideally suited for the kids or adults alike. This room offers 2 full size single beds and also benefits from a sea view.
From £500 p/w low season to £1500 p/w high season.
A deposit of 20% (non refundable) is to be paid at the time of booking with the balance of the rental cost payable 6 weeks prior to occupation.
To commence after 3p.m. on the start date and terminate at 10a.m. on the end date (change over day is Saturday). Guests are requested to leave Hafan as clean & tidy as they found it. Guest details are to be provided at the time of booking.
We recommend that guests take out holiday insurance to cover events such as loss or damage to personal property and holiday cancellation. We cannot accept liability for your possessions. Guests are liable for the replacement cost of any damage or breakages.
The Hafan owner should be allowed access for maintenance (e.g. lawn mowing).

To find Hafan simply head for Cardigan then follow the signs for St Dogmaels and then onto Poppit Sands. Once you arrive at the RNLI station continue up the hill and you're there
